Very unique and interesting,

a group in Bavaria, Germany used orginal Me-262 rear fuselage aluminium sheeting (rear fuselage sheeting) that was used after the war as roofing material - to build modern aviation furniture using traditional metal working skills and tools! Unfortunately, mostly in German with a short English explanation: Click Here

If you want something American, of a similar nature, and have a few thousand to burn, go here and start shopping:

I'm in for the F-4 Wall Lamp.   They actually have some really neat, (somewhat) reasonably priced "widgets" as well.  Told my wife I want the J-79 turbine blade as an X-mas present for my office desk.

The real question is "how many stools do you need to make a complete 262?"

Maybe the guys at Stormbirds at Paine Field would know. My son and I had a tour of their facility a few years ago. What a cool place to visit!

Cheers,

Wolf
