Hi all,

My (first) build in this GB. Once again an ancient Revell kit.But with new decals.

Simple to build.Little or no cockpit details.Raised pannel lines. The instruments are decals.

(This kit also has the parts and decal option to build it as nightfighter)

Cool. If you like check out my build thread in last years 'Clear the Shelf of Doom' GB. The wings in particular need quite a bit of work....and don't even think of trying to fir the cowlings closed with the engines in.

Nice one Erwin!

I have this kit (in a much, much older box) in my stash, so I´ll follow your tread!

Cheers!

Stefan :)

Many years ago I wanted to build it as the nightfighter.I searched for weeks on Ebay and  forums trying to find the boxing with the black Beau.

I thougt only that boxing had the NF parts and decals.

Now I know ALL boxings are the same .Day and nightfighter.

Hi all,

Building this oldie won't take forever. Two days of intens work and more than half is done.

Next is to paint the interior, close the fuselage and add the tailsection.

BradG,

I dryfitted the cowling parts first and found out that I can add the engines after painting without any problems.I shall place the exhausts at the last stage of the build.

I did make the engine a bit "rounder" to get a better fit.Once I place the exhaust that can't be seen.

Very cool - great progress on an old favorite!

Failing a new 1/32 Beau, lord I wish someone would do some decent aftermarket wheels, wheel well and cockpit improvements for the old Revell....

You could call those old Revell kits "upgraded VAC's". Most need full aftermarket.

But I don't mind building them "Out the box". Sometimes with newer decals.
