ringleheim
It looks great so far. This has to be one of the most detailed stock engines out there. Massively better detail than the Eduard 1/32 Bf-109E for example. Keep up the good work! Jim Troy Molitor
Troy Molitor
I certainly agree with Jim’s comment above. The engines looks really impressive and everything seems to line up. Well done and more importantly, thank you for sharing this with us. Troy
Ryan
Thanks gentlemen, I hope to have paint on it very soon. Ryan
Ryan
Hey folks, got some painting done finally, here are some engine shots.....not complete but getting there. The idea to build it all first then paint is making detail painting a bit difficult. Ryan
Forgot to note , the finish is Model Air black with a dry-brushing of Model Air Aluminum. The splotchy black should even out in the clear coat. Ryan

Vynce804
That looks fabulous, the dry brushed silver is exceptionally effective. I have one of these in may stash so will be watching with great interest as your build progresses. Matt Ryan
Ryan
Thanks Matt, I originally shot an aluminum finish over the black, but felt it was too shiny. I gambled the dry brush would look more cast like, I’m pretty pleased with the result so far. Ryan
Ryan
A yawner of an update, but the engine is glossed and awaiting decals. The black evened out nicely. Ta-152 Gloss Engine by The 3rd Placer, on Flickr LSP_Kevin and Gisbod
Rick K
One of my fav high flyer Luftwaffe livery. Looking good. I aspire to build this as well as a Bf109H conversion for a pair of high altitude interceptors. Edited August 19, 2019 by Rick K Ryan
ringleheim
Looking good! Does anyone know the status of this kit, in terms of it being discontinued or something like that? No one seems to have it in-stock and even the VOLKS USA web store has it as "out of stock." Is it done, or is this just a lull between production batches? Ryan
The HO is available, the original H1 is not.....well it is but in a different boxing. https://volksusastore.com/webstores/scale/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=2020 https://volksusastore.com/webstores/scale/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=4108 Both appear to be out of stock from Volks USA, but there are other retailers, including Sprue Brothers.
