Hey folks, got some painting done finally, here are some engine shots.....not complete but getting there.

 

The idea to build it all first then paint is making detail painting a bit difficult.

Thanks Matt, I originally shot an aluminum finish over the black, but felt it was too shiny. I gambled the dry brush would look more cast like, I’m pretty pleased with the result so far.

Does anyone know the status of this kit, in terms of it being discontinued or something like that?

 

No one seems to have it in-stock and even the VOLKS USA web store has it as "out of stock."

 

Is it done, or is this just a lull between production batches?

The HO is available, the original H1 is not.....well it is but in a different boxing.

Both appear to be out of stock from Volks USA, but there are other retailers, including Sprue Brothers.
