BiggTim
I've been considering trying to find the cannon-nosed parts and decals from the Revell kit to use with my Hase kit, or just trade off my Hase 262A for the Revell kit straight across, but I'd like to hear from someone if it's a decent kit first. Any thoughts? Tim
Dave Williams
From what I’ve read, the old Revell Me262 has some serious shape issues. Like the Hasegawa kit, it’s a product of the 70s with the generally limited detail (compared to today) of kits of that era, but given the issues with the Revell kit, the Hasegawa kit is generally considered to be better. The best option would probably be a Trumpeter Me262 with the Tiger Model Designs or Schatton Modellbau conversions. BiggTim
So the Revell of Germany boxing is the same old 1970s molds?
LSP_Ray
I don't think they have offered a Kanonvogel version of the new-tool kit yet. BiggTim

The new tool Revell kit only exists in a two seater night fighter boxing. The single seaters, including the cannon nose boxing, are all old tool. Dave Williams
And for a brief second, the Tiger conversion was available right here.... LSP_K2, BiggTim and Rick Griewski 1 1

thierry laurent
They added a small new sprue to the old dog. However, do not even hold your breath for such parts as they are far from being accurate. I believe that the decals are possibly the only salvageable item. Avoid that kit as the plague... BiggTim
BiggTim
In the absence of a conversion kit, I'm thinking I could probably scratch build it, but it would be nice to have a good brass barrel to use. Any suggestions on a likely candidate? BloorwestSiR
BloorwestSiR
I believe Schatton Modellbau make one. Or had one made for them. I recall someone mentioning they got it for their Hs129 kit recently. Carl BiggTim
Erwin
The extra parts for the Kanonenvogel were "new tool" when released. The kit is just the crappy mold when it was first produced. BiggTim and Rick Griewski 1
Martinnfb
Hi, Tim. If you can wait I can pass you that set from Carl. I am gonna use it only as a guideline for my own conversion. And yes, I am awesome LOL Carl as well
BiggTim
I'm in no hurry, Martinn, and thanks. Only if you're sure you won't need it. I just found out it existed, and would have grabbed it for later at that price, but you snooze, you lose! I got in touch with Tiger Models, and he said he doesn't even have the molds any more! Sounds ripe for a re-boot by someone else!! (hint, hint, to all you enterprising casters or 3D printers out there!!) Martinnfb
As I said , for me it's a template and price of the shipping will do , I wish I can bring it to Phoenix, but the chances are slim. cheers M.
