after trying the seats it dawned to me that the escape-chute door must open to the rear, just not enough space to swing open into the pit, so i reconstructed the rear pit wall and along got rid of the little step it falsly had

i have to replace the throttle control lever, its just too crude...

the canopy has a pretty prominent inner framework, unfortunately pics are scarce, measuremets can only be guessed looking at the windowframes.

its made out of .5 and .3mm sheet and is far from being finished:

fiddling with the dummy canopy for fit i realized the front of the windshied connects to the fuselage dead flat, so some carving and sanding was in order...

 

yuck! still panellines to correct
