USS Missouri Trumpeter 1:200

This time the model is very unusual for me.
Over one meter to build and paint, model made with one addition:
Deck from Pontos, the rest is a model straight from the box.

After building this model, I understood that folding ship models is a real big challenge.

Very impressive indeed - I have to admit I find the idea of tackling such a large complex model rather daunting and I’m full of admiration for those who do.. doubly so when they are of this high standard.

Funny, I just resumed working on mine...started in in 2014 but all those Pontos 20mm guns finally got to me!

This one looks very sharp!   Amazing work!

That's a beauty of a ship... lovely finish.

Couple of questions. What is the flag on the bow? Looks like stars without bars?

Also, what is the aircraft carried at the rear looks like a Douglas Skyraider on floats.. :)

Cheers
