Robthepom
I'm still waiting for my Eduard PE for the Revell Hawk, so I've packed it away for another day/month/year Onwards to an amazing box of plastic pieces, I'm amazed to read reviews and comments on other forums that this kit is 'over engineered'....i love this type of detail and don't care if this build takes me a year to finish, but hey we all model differently Engines first, 2 of these beauties to make paint and weather Some reference info https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=70414&hl=horton https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=54146&page=1 https://www.georgesmodels.com/blog/the-horten-h0-229-is-finally-finished https://www.largescaleplanes.com/articles/article.php?aid=2344 http://www.themodellingnews.com/2014/10/zoukei-mura-horten-ho-229-build-review.html Edited November 8, 2018 by Robthepom karimb, kensar, Wolf Buddee and 2 others

Robthepom
Hey Maru, thanks for the extra references and information, the blue prints are very interesting to study I'd like to thank Mr Zoukei and Mr Mura for this beautiful engineered kit, each engine looks complicated but it all just fits, I hope the framing is just as enjoyable CATCplSlade, Victor K2, HB252 and 3 others

Robthepom
haha how can i resist its easier to add 'pipes' off the model, so i started with the second engine thats not complete yet also if it looks terrible i can always blame CAT Rick Griewski, CATCplSlade, Victor K2 and 1 other 3

Robthepom
Heres a funny story for you, I give most of my models to my nieces and nephews (yes i have a lot of both) my 21yo nephew had a spark of interest in modelling when he came round a few months ago, this is how the conversation went, the model was Tamiya 1/32 F16 closed up in flight Nephew....nice model uncle Rob, how much did that cost? how long did it take you? Cool Uncle Rob.....the model was $190 but i spent another $150 on aftermarket parts decals and paint Nephew...what aftermarket parts? Cool Uncle Rob.....i bought exhaust set , cockpit, ejection seat, wheel bays Nephew....brilliant lets see them Cool Uncle Rob.......nah you cant see them there all inside the model, you can just see the instrument panel and ejection seat if you look hard Nephew....WTF OMG SMH walks off Weird Uncle Rob.....come back, come back, dont go One day when he is middle aged and i,m gone he will remember good old cool uncle Rob and buy a model I only say this because i just spent 4hrs detailing a Jumo engine that will be covered up, and i loved every second of it, there is no logic to modelling or enjoyment So raise your glass and drink to modelling.......
