Greg W
Well, now that I am finished building models for someone else, I can return to this project which has been shelved for seven months. I just reopened the box and found that everything survived storage pretty good, except one of the strakes on the vertical stabilizer broke off. I did find it, so only a small repair job needed to set everything right. Greg W
During the time away from this build, I picked up an additional aftermarket item from Quickboost. This set has a large antenna that will go on the top of the avionics hump and some nice angle of attack vanes that will be an improvement over the out of box, molded on detail. Greg W
Also, I found that Mr. Color 338 is FS 36495. This is the shade of grey I am going to use on the underside of the AF-1. I'll test it out on the Hasegawa A-4 and see if it looks right. If it is a little to dark, I will just lighten it up and call it good. I think, dialing in the contrast between the three colors is all I have to do at this point. scvrobeson, Lothar, LSP_Kevin and 3 others
