A new 1/32 Tamiya F-14A/B/D Tomcat to end all debate and frustrations

It's a nice thought, but Tamiya does what Tamiya wants to do, and they seemingly live in their own little bubble.

Have to remember that scale model kits like a 1/32 F-14 are way down the pecking list of importance for Tamiya too.

I would imagine the R/C side of the business as well as "supplies" (paint, glue, thinner, putty, tools) are massively more important to their bottom line.

Will Tamiya make a new 1/32 F-14?  Maybe!  Maybe not!

They'll decide, not the modeler.

Yup, RC is supposed to be their big money maker and it just might be that funds allocated for plastic scalemodel kits is done so on an alternating basis of venue and scale. Our requests for more and more accuracy and details just escalates the cost of production: seems you can’t have one without the other

Yes Sir, I would buy a new Big Cat in a heartbeat, but Tamiya can do 3 or 4 new kits in 1/48, pure economics.

But, Tamiya works in mysterious ways, so it´s not impossible...
