Erwin
The wings(up and under)and tail are in the final coat of black.A mix of 50/50% satin and matt. Not easy to paint such a large model by brush and trying to get an even coat.Used a 1inch brush on the large surfaces. Erwin
Here's a first for me.Masking the frames. Done with pieces of Tamiya tape. First a grey primer. Then matt black, and finally the end black mix. Fingers crossed it will turn out ok. Just a bit concerned that paint will get under the tape. Jack
Erwin, you're doing a great job on the mossie, and considering the fact you brushpaint all your models (i saw them in the flesh once) you're a master painter this way. Anthony in NZ
Erwin, that's beautiful mate! Don't know how you do it so well with a brush......old school skills are becoming a lost art in modelling I suspect Keep up the great work Anthony Erwin

For some reason I never went from brush painting to air brush. Daniel460, Jack and Gerhard
Erwin
I finally managed to finish the paint work. A mix of 50/50 % satin and matt black to get a soft shine. Despite the fact that this is only one colour,it's been the most difficult to do by brush so far. Masking the markings is difficult by brush. The paint tends to get under them. I always go with decals and hope they don't silver at the edges. That's why I rarely add codes as those are mostly printed on the decal sheet as one piece. Edited September 18, 2018 by Erwin Shawn M
mozart
Lovely finish on that black Erwin. After doing my last Bf110E in "black" one appreciates just how difficult it is to achieve a realistic effect. Erwin and Shawn M
