An update: finished the bomb bay. Painting the bombs was a little tricky: Tamiya AS-12 as primer, flat yellow, lots of masking with thin strips of tape, painted khaki drab,  mottled with olive drab, dipped the tips in a small puddle of yellow, Quickshine, weathered with Flory dark dirt, then painted the fuse sections with burnt metal. Whew! Now starting to work on the waist and tail sections. Looking forward to closing up that fuselage!

Cheers,  Tom

Looking very good Tom. Hoe did you do the wood effect on the doors and flooring?

Gerhard, thanks, Uschi Van Der Rosten decals: https://www.uschivdr.com/shopping-categories/shop-wood-grain-decals/

They are amazingly strong, flexible, and transluscent so you can alter the substrate color to create a really varied appearance from surface to surface.

Welcome back Tom! Hopefully you've worked the Castlemain XXXX and Strongbow out of your system! The Fort is looking good! Might as well model if you're getting rain from the hurricane!

Cheers....Ron

Ron,

Thanks! It’s good to be back into this. Took a while to transition from the Carlton Draught, but I still have my Vegemite and toast!

Cheers,  Tom
