Complying with Martin's request, here we go...

My daily drive: VOLVO V90 T8 (Twin Engine hybrid).

Enough room to accommodate countless bags of IKEA tea lights...

My weekend drives: 2008 Mustang GT 5.0 Bullitt edition and my 2009 Shelby GT500...

In 2019, the Bullitt will have a NZ vehicle registration plate.

Despite being a LHD car, it's been white-listed by the NZ Transport Agency.

New chassis, active suspension system, new brake system, new transmission, launch control and a modified twin-supercharged 350CID engine and lots of electronics...an "unauthorised" Super Snake if you will. For everyday use the engine is electronically limited at 650hp.

Also rebuilt from an imported, partially burnt-out hulk...engine and structure were still intact. Three years of blood, sweat and tears.

In comparison, technical acceptance by the German TÃœV and vehicle registration were a piece of cake.

The engine itself was modified by a renowned German U.S. Cars specialist.

And as it seems, the Shelby will be sold back to the U.S. next month... Letting go is always the hardest part.

Riding out with the boys...

Nice cars everyone! I'm sure cars were the thing that perhaps drew us away from modeling as teens. It did for me anyway. My history of cars is pretty rich now looking back. In the 80s I modified a basic 82  Jetta with a GTI motor and redid the suspension. Then I had a Scirocco 16V silver with black leather interior. Then I just had to have the new VW Corrado G60 in the 90's. That car lasted a long time until I saved my pennies for an 87 911 Carrera with a rear spoiler. Then we had kids and a house to fix up so I soid that and just drove about in an 4000S Quattro until it died. I'm not sure what happened but then I had a basic subaru impreza for a long time.

These are my cars. A 2003 Mercedes AMG C32. Somewhat rare. I've never seen one other than mine. It's kind of retired (needs suspension work I do not want to pay for) and ready to sell this summer. We had fun. 350HP and gobs of torque. It ate rear tires all the time!

Today I drive my new baby, a 2013 Audi S4. I adore this car.  6 speed manual with a Chipwerke Pro chip and an aftermarket intake that seems to amplify the supercharger whine. Sounds like a 747.

Oh, a lot of mustang lovers down here !

My dream would be a Challenger Hellcat, but it's a bit overpriced for me (they're way more expensive overseas...). Maybe in the next years i would buy an old Charger of the early 70's.

My car (with the canadian plates i got in the first months) :

How much does it cost to fill the tank in that thing? I would think that's an investment there in France.

A friend of my brothers recently was talking about a Hellcat. He had a real nice SS Hemi Challenger that was super fast and fun to drive, but he went to the dealership to test drive a Hellcat that he knew they had setting on the showroom floor.

I was just about 100% certain he would come home with a Hellcat (since he swore he wouldn't be buying a Hemi Challenger either, and when he went to test drive IT he came home with it). But lowe and behold, when were outside hanging at my brothers place we heard what we thought was the loping cam from a dragster........................then my brothers friend turned the corner and pulled up in this:

Knowing it did not sound ANYTHING like a normal Challenger (even the Hemi Challengers didnt sound like that thing) I knew right where to look to confirm my suspicions.  Yep the badge behind the front tires on the fenders gave it all away before he ever opened the hood.................

The thing is an absolute BEAST.  Unreal how fast it accelerates.  Funny thing the options from the factory he got, like super skinny drag slicks for the front for a factory option of a whopping $1 USD.  lol - That made me laugh.

Last year I had the chance to test drive a widebody SRT Hellcat on the Nuerburgring race track..

Not bad for a series production car. Really not bad.

To be honest, I like my Shelby much more...

But what else would you expect from a Mustang afficionado.  :innocent:
