Wow ! time flies, didn't realize how long it's been since I last posted but

I'm getting close to the finish line. Ray , I tried a couple of different methods

for the spinner stripes and finally came up with the following.

I cut a plastic disc from .020" sheet and attached it to a Dremel cut off wheel

shaft. Then smashed the disc inside (blue tac) the spinner (already painted red) and

chucked that into my 18volt Black and Dekker drill. Using a C-clamp so I could

adjust the trigger / speed , I found I could spin the thing verrry slowly , then

just hand painted the blue stripes.   Turned out OK so I'm finishing up the

odds and ends which shouldn't be too much longer.

In these pix, the stripes are white as an early experiment I tried brush painting

Aim toothpaste (with a little white in it so I could see it better) so I could mask

the stripes and spray them rather than hand brushing. Didn't like it so I switched

to brush painting the blue instead.

That is absolutely gorgeous Mike! I've always loved the 356th FG markings, and surprised that no one has done decals for Jersey Jerk in 1/32. You've really gone above and beyond on this one.

Beautiful work, Mike! I especially liked your approach to modulation on the NMF.  How do you find the MRP metallic colors?  They look good from here.

Very nice work Mike! Wheelbay was actually mostly metal

Thanks Mr.S , from what I've read,  they went with the bare metal bays until there were complaints

about corrosion which lead to the use of ZC on the bottom surface of the upper wing skin.

The top photo in your post shows a painted upper skin. I don't know about time frames but this model is a -15.

This model has plenty of little bugs but I'm just lookin' to gitterdun.

So I've finally wrapped it up. Took longer than it was supposed to but

it was a fun journey anyway.
