richdlc
absolutely insane! In answer to your question Peter, I haven't done any model making for a couple of years now really...lost my mojo, plus ran out of space...for now! daHeld, Model_Monkey and airscale
Model_Monkey
Certainly a bat wing and eye of newt were required for the cauldron to produce this kind of magic. Obviously, Peter was educated at Hogwarts and was involved in getting the Weasley's car to fly. But which house.....? A clue: I understand Peter speaks parseltongue. airscale
JayW
To add to the applause - the fuel selector valve is just awesome! Cannot wait to see it mounted, with all the hoses attached! Am learning some about the B wheel well (not the same as the D). airscale

Troy Molitor
Simply enjoying this wonderful journey with the rest of my LSP mates. Can’t thank you enough Peter for giving us a front row seat to every zerk fitting or NAS pipe or clamp fitting or fuel tank indicator. I even love the single bolt installations. Just brilliant. It’s all fascinating to see come alive. Most of all, thank you for sharing your builds with us. Troy. airscale, KiwiZac and daHeld
Madmax
I find myself giggling, like I did as a child, when looking at something too fantastic to comprehend. Absolutely wonderful! airscale, daHeld and Out2gtcha

airscale
ahoy shipmates wow, what a response, thank you all very much - I am humbled... On 2/6/2019 at 10:25 PM, Antonio Argudo said: lovely detail work as you do Peter, you are going to be entertained on that wheel bay, so many parts, it will look amazing for sure! I have seen different color configurations on unrestored Mustang's wheel bays, most of them have the top cover in bare aluminum showing the Alclad lettering like the pic you posted, are you replicating that also? cheers Thanks Antonio - I think if I had known this before I painted them then yes, likely I would have, but it's too late now - I am just hoping either painted or unpainted is right On 2/7/2019 at 8:36 PM, Model_Monkey said: Certainly a bat wing and eye of newt were required for the cauldron to produce this kind of magic. Ah - I am now lost as despite their success, I have never seen a Harry Potter film! I do however have your exquisite 1/18 P51 exhausts which will be fitted at some point so thanks for doing those On 2/8/2019 at 10:23 AM, Troy Molitor said: Simply enjoying this wonderful journey with the rest of my LSP mates. Many thanks Troy, I appreciate that you appreciate my doing a build log - that said, it is no chore for me - I love sharing things I learn and getting feedback on what I am doing right or wrong had a bit of time this weekend, so lets press on... ..first up some landing gear torque assembly fittings - seen here, it's the green bracket & bellcranks and a torque tube.. these seem to sit the deepest under the fuel selector so had to be done next.. ..first I made the housings from plastic card... ..then made up all the belcranks and any bits that go in either bay - primed white as I have run out of mr surfacer... .. ..then all these were painted.. ..and assembled, including tiny banjo fittings where small rods come off the cranks to various bits... ..and added to the airframe - the lower roof height in the model is making placing & spacing some of this stuff challenging... ..next this bit - the fuel shut-off valve - it's quite a distinctive and complicated little assembly... ..no build pics for this bit, but here it is completed... ..also added the hydraulic accumulator.... and then spent many hours plumbing the fuel selector valve - there is still one pipe to go between it and the fuel shut off valve, but there are some gubbins I need to add before doing that... ..still lots of bits to do, but feel like its a bit of progress to get that done.. Fvdm
Nice work as always Peter. I like the fulehoses with the white writing on it. Did you buy these or are they also homemade? daHeld and airscale

scvrobeson
Every time I think you've outdone yourself, you find a brand new level of model building. I'm going to need to see some identification, since I'm convinced you're not from this planet. Matt airscale and daHeld
