Czech Air Force applied this scheme on their Mi-24 in order to honour Czech and Slovak airmen serving within the Coastal Command on B-24.

sweet! I'll have to Czech it out again! :mental:

You could buy one, build & paint it up... then in a year, re-do the markings and change the nose art... with the photos posted above, you could literally do one a year for many years to come. And it would look fantastic in this scale.

One of the best things about the B-24 is that the nose art was by far the best out of all the big bombers.

I guess that big flat side worked well with the artists.

There's some real masterpieces in there.

During the Flanders modelshow in Antwerp last Saturday I noticed the fuselage halves of an ID-models Liberator sticking out someone's bag. Crude now :mental: :hmmm: :frantic:

Yup, today those kids painting like that would be arrested and jailed for 20 years.

Yes, they're the same age, but the kids painting on bombers were men, doing a man's job, and here at least the almost-men doing the vandalism on overpasses, railway cars, and buildings are nothing but common criminals.
