ScottsGT 3,017 Posted February 22, 2018 Not that I'm in a hurry, but rather trying to "balance my budget" for some more of Paul's goodies! But I placed an order earlier this week for some 1/72 EC-121 items. But I think as soon as I pay these off with my paypal credit, I'm going to go nuts and put in a really big order for more wants. Now trying to figure out if I need a single Spad kit, or the two 'fer kit. 1 paul fisher reacted to this

kalashnikov-47 503 Posted February 22, 2018 A guy on Facebook said he got his Skyraider parts in about 3-4 weeks. Seems fair. Fisher is a small operation and probably backlogged at the moment.
Scotsman 1,096 Posted March 2, 2018 Well .... Ordered my Spad conversion on the 12th of Jan .. and so far nothing ....And yes I'm aware they must be extremely busy .. but approaching 2 months without an update.. a touch disappointing , However since I'm working through one of their excellent Hunter T7 conversions , I really can't complain.. Too much! colinR
ScottsGT 3,017 Posted March 2, 2018 I just blew my Spad conversion budget on a great deal with someone else in the classifieds. Once I recover, I'll order! I've currently got an order in with Paul for some tiny 1/72 stuff for the EC-121.
otis252 696 Posted March 3, 2018 I ordered my "Fat face" Spad at the tail end of the pre-order and I got my kit in about 3 weeks I believe. Other purchases have been faster. Service has been very good. Now about that AD-5, any news on when? Chuck
Gerhard 2,537 Posted March 3, 2018 Depends where you are. Royal mail Priority Air Mail 8 weeks to South Africa, 3 days from customs to my post box. Go figure. I really thought modern aircraft can fly from London to Johannesburg in 12 hours or so.
Guest Clunkmeister Posted March 4, 2018 I've got the donor kit ready and waiting here. But just made a conscious decision to wait till the madness dies down and things get back to normal. Not that I don't have enough to build, there's always at least one T-28 and now a PBJ-1H on my bench. I also want the Culass so bad I can taste it, and the RB-51 makes me pant. paul fisher 1,643 Posted March 4, 2018 (edited) Mornin' there , folks. Yes, things have been a bit jammed up with the Skyraider conversions, but we're almost through the pile and everyone should get theirs fairly soon. Those of you who are involved at all in this business know what can happen when a model takes off, those who have not been on my side of the work bench, please rest assured we're doing our best to cope with what turned into a bit of a monster. The quality you have come to expect from us takes time and care, and we appreciate your patience. I have deliberately held off on taking pre-orders for the Navy ships to allow for getting a handle on this thing, but I will be posting pics and color schemes very shortly for the AD-5 kit. the AD-5W is coming along very nicely too, and I even found one with very cool nose art, so many good things are in the pipeline. ScottsGT 3,017 Posted March 13, 2018 So I had a box arrive from Paul yesterday. I still need to find time to open it though. Tonight...... I was busy unboxing and setting up a new battery powered weed whacker for the wife. I got tired of her bitching about me not doing a good enough job, so I bought her one she could crank up. 1 Gerhard reacted to this

paul fisher 1,643 Posted March 13, 2018 True story...about 20 years ago I bought a little ride-on mowing tractor since we have about 1.3 acres of mowing.I did the front lawn once, going in the wrong direction and the grass clippings blew into the flower bed. My mistake....But I've never been allowed to do the mowing since then.Worked out pretty well, I'd say...... So I had a box arrive from Paul yesterday. I still need to find time to open it though.
