Thanks guys for kind words, really apreciate it!

 

I didn't have much time in past month for modelling but I have managed to do the paint job

everithing painted with Mr Paint and Alclads, shaded, applied some soot subtle scratches

and now it's ready to get some decals

thanks guys for positive feedback!  :)

 

I applied all decals. It's a mix of original kit decals and AM set from Zoukei Mura (printed by Cartograf). One of the best decals I have worked with so far. It went well with Mr. Setter and Softer (finally I recieved original ones from Japan, EU version so called NEO are not working at all). Pictures taken prior the final gloss coat aplication.

Few war time pics. regarding the logo

thanks Martin for the remark!  :rolleyes: I have just corrected it...

however when I'm now looking at the pics that you have posted, it looks that it's still not in correct position  :rofl:  it looks that I'm running out of spare HS logos  :shrug:

Nice looking model!

 

Interesting pic of the gal cleaning the propeller blade.  It's marked Boeing.

North American became Rockwell which I think was bought by Boeing.

Weird to see Boeing owns the Mustang property now!

I don't know about the Revell kit, but the Tamiya Mustangs at least come with a "Licensed Boeing Product" logo, seen top right of the box art below:
