Trumpeter 1/32 TBM-4 Avenger

Hi guys, here's my latest completed build. The RNZAF operated the TBF, not TBM, but with this kit being my only option, I decided to finish it in RNZAF markings regardless.

I used custom mixes of Tamiya acrylics for the camo, Montex vinyl masks for all of the markings, watercoloured pencils, oil washes, Ammo enamel washes and AK Interactive pigments for the weathering. I replaced the .50cal with a Master Models brass barrel.

Ever since I built the Monogram 1/48th scale kit when it first came out with the wings that folded back, they have been one of my top subjects.

Absolutely beautiful work!

Good weathering; not overdone.

Excellent detail work-looks like a lot of sweat went into that!

Thanks guys. She was a really enjoyable kit to build. Can't think of any major dramas. Took me just under 4 months to complete. I've just started on a Trumpeter 1/32 A-4F Skyhawk which I'm building to represent an RNZAF A-4K. Need a break from the pacific camo scheme for a while after completing the Tamiya F4U-1A before the Avenger. Would like to build the 1/32 Dauntless in an RNZAF scheme somewhere down the line though.
