dodgem37
Build thread here: http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=38388&page=1 Warts and all. No particular order. Lots of close-ups. Silver decal stripes for fasteners on hoses. Many miscellaneous details. Green is for Starboard. Matches formation light color. White pastel chalk on guns to break up monotony of solid black. Black pastel chalk to break up monotony of Chromate Green. White wiring, Red handle, Aluminum panel latches. Red for Port, it too matches formation light, this side. Same detailing. Missing panel stand-off. Will get to that. Shown a pen flashlight into the cockpit to help reveal some of the detail. Seems blurry to me. Oh well. Many engine compartment details. Gun camera lens in hole in port wing leading edge. Aluminum replacement panel. You can barely tell, but it is there: At the hole where the engine compartment top cowling inserts into the Firewall/Fuselage you can see a separation line between the two. Nothing good happens when your light source falls onto you model during a photo session. Antenna tie-in to vertical stabilizer. Grounding cable on antenna. You may notice the wire is not straight. Again, nothing good happens when your light source falls on your model. Toned down white decal intensity with a transparent overlay of color. Needs fuel spillage. I'll get to that. Gloss overcoat on formation light. Lots of different types of wear. Not a lot of weathering. Weather in the Sinai is pretty constant. Blistering heat with lots of blowing sand causing non-industrial paint to show its' age quickly. Other side. Same ol' thing. Other side. More of the same. Same. I wanted lots of wear variation, More below. Edited February 5, 2018 by dodgem37 red baron, BiggTim, TenSeven and 15 others

dodgem37
Rocket wiring. Ordnance wiring. Gun muzzle powder stains. Other side. More of the same. Bottoms up. Notice the gap between the carburetor air intake frame and panel. Yep, misalignment caused by falling light source. Shown a penlight into the hole to remove that shadow. The same but not so much. Ordnance. Light bulbs in circular formation lights. Dropped some future onto them as well. Rocket cables. Bomb arming prop detail. I see I forgot to paint a couple of rocket tailbones. I'll get to that. Black pastel cartridge powder residue. A little blurry. Apologies. An attempt at oil seepage. Continuation of the same. More below. dodgem37
Other side. Tail wheel door closing mechanism. Movin' On Up! Shown a pen flashlight here too to remove shadow. Ordnance other side. I see I'm missing a fastener on the rocket mounting plate. From the front. More Ordnance junk. Other side. Does all of this seem as interminable to you as it does to me? Strut action. The other one. Backside. Otherside backside. Glamour shots below. Jan_G, BiggTim, rafju and 8 others

Wouter
O wow, what's not to like! Love all the little nitty and gritty details, so much going on. Painting is most excellent; a well used desert bird. Though you might wan't to take a look at that piece of ordnance hanging around... don't want it to fall off ;-)
