Plasto
Righto, I have been plodding on with this in between building the Tamiya Ki-61 in 1/48... I have added some of the Barracuda cockpit stencils.. Puttied the wing... [ Just Tamiya ' Surfacer' and elbow grease... and finally I have had some fun with the HGW seat belts... I also thought I may give this ago for the base NMF colour... A bit more cockpit work required before i progress to the main assembly.. Thanks for looking... alaninaustria
Great start! Welcome to the forum! Don't forget to attach the top rear part to the end of the cockpit "cage"... I almost forgot to do this to mine just before I closed the fuselage up! Cheers Alan Edited July 5, 2018 by alaninaustria easixpedro
ax365
Plasto...welcome and that's some really nice work. Fantastic and realistic look of the scuff marks on the cockpit floor. Well done. What was your technique for this, please and thanks? Mike Out2gtcha
Plasto
Thanks for the feedback, Everything is just clipped together in the photo still more to do before it gets glued up. The scuffed floor is done with the oil paint wood grain technique beloved of WNW builders. This was then sealed with a clear coat and then some chipping fluid applied before a top coat of NATO black. Then the paint was chipped revealing the wood grain... HTH John ax365
waroff
nice work, the headrest cushion was dark pine green, not brown, and the seat was dark bronze green
Plasto
I can ammend the headrest colour, the seat is staying that colour. From what I can make out the WMA seats seem to come is a few colour variations maybe more so that the SJ seat.. For a -5 The WMA is the correct seat although perhaps the pan is more of the later style.. ATEOTD it to me looks ok... Cheers John
