whyfore you not go?

Numerous reasons actually... I’ve recently taken on a new role at work (I’m now head of section) and therefore it’s more difficult to take the Friday off work to travel up. Telford is a good 3/4hr drive from me and it would mean a very early start on the Saturday, which after a week at work, I really don’t fancy.

My wife and I are also expecting a second child this summer and as she’s self-employed that means no income when she finishes for her maternity leave - therefore funds will be strictly limited.

Also, I’ve been to Telford every year since it moved there and to be totally honest I just fancy a break from it.

Will no doubt return in 2021 - hopefully with the BUFF finished and ready to show off!

Great too see progress on this beast Tom. What are you going to use for the instrument panel? PE or will you scratch it?

Thanks.

I have a decal sheet for the panel as part of the HPH set so will make a plastic card base and go from there.

I was just wondering, after you finish the B-52 are you going to build the 1/48 scale B-36? Just do it:clap2:

I’d be tempted if someone were to bring out a vacform as £600+ for the HPH kit is just too much cash for a model in my opinion - even if the quality is top-notch.

Large coffee table, small modelling desk.

Time to reassess priorities, I feel.

B-52 looks great! :clap2:

I've finally had the opportunity today to add a splash of colour to the flap bays. Trouble is, this beast is a little too large to fit in a spray booth:

Equally, finding a place for it to dry off is equally problematic:

Anyway, size issues aside, Xtracolor's Zinc Chromate has brought this area to life:

I've also given the out-rigger bays another spraying as I felt the Humbrol Chromate Yellow was too brownish:

Pretty happy with the outcome :)

Regards to all,
