Recommended Posts

Guest The Southern Bandit

Thanks, stuff like this is worth a sticky thread IMHO, not just Trumpy but all kit manufacturers, its a question often asked.

Has anyone used this service recently?

I sent Joanna an email and got a response fairly quickly with a paypal address "fairy0821@163.com".

Can anyone confirm this is correct please?

Hi,

Just want to add my experience with them. Send them a request and response was the next working day. very efficient.

Overall, this service is excellent.

Pay them via paypal via the above discussed paypal account and they confirmed payment was completed.

Now waiting for the items to arrived.

Trumpeters parts service is useless as the proverbials on a bull. I tried to get a whole sprue from them that was missing in one of my kits, they simply referred me to the distributor, the same distributor that had dicked me around for 12 months with "it's on the next shipment" rubbish. I asked if they could simply cut the middle man out and send me the part directly, I'd even pay for the postage despite the mistake being clearly on their quality control, but got ignored.

I have ordered direct from Trumpeter and never had an issue. Parts arrived in about two weeks to AUS. ordered and paid with Paypal.

Yep, I got replacements through the email address in post #1. Good comms from them, and the parts turned up a few weeks afterwards.

Yes, you can. When you ask Trumpeter for parts they send you an invoice through Paypal, and you can pay using a credit or debit card without having to set up an account. Having said that, it's pretty easy to set up a Paypal account, and they have some good protections in place. I'd prefer to send money via Paypal than, say, sending cash or emailing my credit card details.
