Been sick as a dog....

Recommended Posts

Been sick since Monday afternoon. Hit like a ton of bricks by Tuesday afternoon. Bad upper respiratory infection. Fever, and coughing like I couldn't stop. Thanks to my wife, whose a nurse that took great care of me, I finally turned the corner on this junk. Feeling better, but not 100% yet. Fever finally broke last night. Man, I haven't been this sick in years! Rotten crud!

Listen to your wife and cure it a couple of days longer - even if you feel better - you don't want

this to become chronic. Respiratory problems are evil, ask me how I know. Glad you are on the mend.

This flu season is turning out to the one of the worst in many years.  Last year this time, Northwest Medical Center in Tucson (a large Level 1 trauma center) had had 7 confirmed cases of influenza.  As of last Monday, they'd had over 180, including a perfectly healthy 22-year old young woman who died from it.

Get your flu vaccine!!

Glad you are feeling better...

I had been sick with the same flu/fever/cough since 12/29/17, after two rounds of antibiotic, one course of Steroids, I was on a nebulizer for four days with albuterol so I could catch my breath, and a fair amount of Tylenol, I am now starting to feel human again. This was the first time in 10 years I had the flu, and I got the flu shot very early this year. My wife was close to calling 911 to take me to the hospital, but I was stubborn enough where I would not go.

My wife even said, "I know you are really sick because you are not working on your models!"

Flu has really been taking a toll here, too. At work, with 11 employees, 7 of us have been tagged. Really rough for a week, then 2/3 weeks of recovery. Chest hurts, low energy...first case started before xmas, still suffering. Be careful with respiratory crap, ended up with bacterial pneumonia one winter, hospital time, 3month recovery. Doc said never saw it so bad, almost killed me by a narrow margin. I tend to be pretty cautios, now. Hope everyone has a safe recovery.

Nothing a bit of "Buchu" Brandy wont cure. It's a brandy we buy here , infused with herbs. Heat it up, add some 100% natural Honey and sip away. Glad you are feeling better BT.
