Erwin
Hi all, This is as good as it's going to be. This is my first wooden WW-2 model. It's a different build compared to my earlier WW-1 models. I know this lacks a lot of detail, has many faults and could have been done better. But if you say:'Hey,look,a P-39' Then I'm happy. My future WW-2 builds can only get better and better. Thanks for all the nice comments when 'in the works' Hope to see you soon with another wooden WW-2 plane

maverick728470
Erwin or should i say Professor Wood or balsa for short, One thing and this would be as to what u used other than balsa sealer for the filling of the wood before painting. The stuff i use just doesn't cut for me.Please advise on what steps u took to get that smooth surface ready for that great paint job u did on u'er 39.Larry

After that I put on a thick layer of Revell Plasto. I don't know if another brand will give the same result, but Plasto is good for plastic and wood. Let the whole thing dry untill hard and sand down smoothly. Once done add a few layers of poresealer. That's it.
Guest LSP_Jay L
'Hey,look,a P-39' Nice job Erwin! Very nice. It is an entirely different ballgame working with wood, and you manage it perfectly. Now I see you have a 16th scale King Tiger back there... Very nice pictures as well mate. almost forgot to mention that. Cheers mate, Jay
