My sincere condolences Mark, to you and your family, you already said you'd fear the worst, but it is still a shock when it happens, take care and hold on to eachother , especially in this Xmass period!

Oh Mark, I have just seen this thread. condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. No time is the right time but around Christmas time is especially difficult.

 

That said, although extremely raw at the moment, time is a great healer and once again, Christmas will become a happier time knowing the memory of your Father in Law is deep in your hearts. 

 

I am in Bruges on Friday. I will have a quiet toast to his memory. May he Rest in Peace and may you find peace, solace and happiness in each other.

Wow Mark, just read this sad news, my condolences to you and your familie.

 

Such sad news so close to Christmas is very hard to get. I wish you and your familie all the best and allot of strength in these difficult time, but please keep in mind, time will heal but never forget, keep him in your memory and heart's my friend.

Very sorry to hear that Mark. Thoughts are with you and your family. It's small consolation but at least your wife and her siblings got a chance to say goodbye before he passed.
