catbloke
Pardon my ignorance, but is there, or has there ever been, a conversion available in 1/32 for the Hurricane prototype? Such an attractive aeroplane.
LSP_Kevin
Not as far as I'm aware. I was intending to convert one of my Revell Hurricanes - even started a topic a while back, but I'm not sure if I'll ever really get to it. I agree it's fantastically attractive, though it changed somewhat during its development lifetime, so you'd have to pick a well-documented state and represent that. GrahamF
I'm sure someone was doing fabric wings a while back, that would be a good start, that nose though is more akin to the earlier Fury/Nimrod and maybe the right size as they did test a merlin in one. LSP_Kevin
Yeah, Warbirds did the fabric wings, of which I have a couple of sets. I think they may be available from Grey Matter Figures now. They're very heavy chunks of solid resin, though! Kev catbloke
LSP_Ron
Pacific Coast Models Models did the fabric wing version a few years ago. I can't remember if I sold mine or gave it away in a Christmas raffle Here is Ray's review of the same kit catbloke and LSP_K2
catbloke
Thank you for the replies! I like the look of that PCM kit, I will have to invest in one!
wunwinglow
PCM are being taken into new ownership as we speak, so there might be a delay in supply. But well worth seeking out. Not sure if FLY did a rag wing one as well, but if rhey did, these are a great basis too. Not Tamigawa, but can be made into very nice models. catbloke

Not Tamigawa, but can be made into very nice models. The fabric wing version is about the only one Fly haven't covered (no pun etc.) yet. All others not individually released can be made up from swapping sprues between kits. Even a Mk V if you don't mind modding the spinner to take the four supplied prop blades. Hopefully they'll complete the family with a fabric wing release before moving on to a new subject.
GrahamF
They probably didn't do the rag wing as there are no drawings, incredibly the Hurricane in the science museum is a rag wing survivor but its difficult to get to, also there was a group putting one together from fragments who were drawing up their own from bits of info.
