Shoggz
Maru, the P51 is indeed still at Cosford. In my vists there, I have pretty much spent as much time looking at it as I have the 'actual' aircraft (and they have some lovely examples there!) What those pictures don't convey is the physical heft it, (and the Spitfire), have in the 'flesh'. 1/5 is a big scale! David is now building a Mark IX Spitfire. http://www.spitfireinmyworkshop.net/spitfire-mkix-diary.php Our very own Peter Airscale's magnificent Spitfire very much reminds me of one of David's creations. DeanKB
The font on the pressure gauge is 14, he's using 13. Unbuildable.
AdamR
Interesting colors on the P-51's gun barrel fairings. Copper?

BiggTim
If I ever built something like that, I would just retire from modeling afterward.
Phartycr0c
As Shoggz says, this is on display at Cosford an I can attest to its unbelievable beauty. Its not modelling its true miniature engineering. Cosford is 20 mins away does anyone want phots of it? im there on Saturday as it happens.. GrahamF
Yes I was marvelling at the P51 this year, Its the details like wiring and different metals depicted that impressed me. Graham
