LSP_K2
Thanks, Brian. I'll be cleaning off the table later this week in preparation for our Christmas dinner on the 24th, then afterward I'll be able to resume work on this puppy "full swing". LSP_K2
A fair amount of good work done here today, but not a lot that's photo worthy, save for perhaps this, the slow clean-up and installation of the exhaust stubs, followed by the addition of weld beads as I go along. LSP_K2
.010 chunks added to fill in the P.E. slots in the rudder, as I will definitely not be using those on this effort (or probably any others for that matter). LSP_K2
Though actually not too bad on this kit, I've still went ahead and thinned the exhaust shields for a better appearance. BiggTim, Greg W, LSP_Kevin and 3 others
LSP_K2
All exhaust stacks now finished for this side, and I've commenced real work on the remaining six. These actually look pretty decent to my eye, and I hope will look really cool once painted up. LSP_Kevin, BiggTim and Greg W
LSP_K2
Finally, some appropriate grey (Tamiya XF-24)spritzed onto the IP. I should start detail painting tomorrow sometime. I'm not sure if the gunsight is correct or not, it's just what was in the box. One thing I know with absolute certainty about 109's, is that I actually know very little about 109's. 109, BiggTim, Out2gtcha and 2 others

Thunnus
Great looking build, Kevin. I'm assuming you know this already but I just wanted to point out that the engine is upside down and will be oriented the other way around when it eventually gets installed. I see no reason at all why this won't be finished for the show in September, and I'm really looking forward to that. 1 hour ago, Thunnus said: Great looking build, Kevin. Yep, this is the starboard side assembly, as that just happened to be the side that I started working on first. Shawn M

LSP_K2
Here's some paint slopped on the IP. After adding whatever of the Airscale stencils I can use, I'll re-photograph it, as this is really not such a great photo. Gazzas
IP looks great, Mate! I have never thought to thin the exhaust shields... Thanks for the tip! Gaz LSP_K2

Gaz Yep, on this kit, they look like they're made from 1/4" steel plate, so need to have a more "scale like" appearance. Gazzas
