Dandiego
I am trying to give a green tint to the center panel on my F-4. I am using Tamiya clear green but can't get it to behave. If I brush it on I get streaks, if I spray it I get little dark granules. I have applied several attempts and have removed them all...help! alaninaustria
Or, put a drop of the Tamiya Clear Green in some future thinned a little with isopropanol alcohol and brush it on!!
jenshb
Alclad Armoured Glass. It's fairly transparent, so you will need to give it a few coats on the inside of the windhshield. If it goes on with orange peel, you can level and polish the paint with micomesh to restore clarity. Also, it doesn't attack the plastic even if you give it a few wet coats. Tony T
Sat on the inside as a journo fondling a-then operational F-4G's controls it looked clear to me, standing outside it has that tinted look. Never worked that out. Mostly, whether it was green or blue. Tony LSP_K2
John1
Just keep in mind that it's not actually tinted. It's armored glass that from certain angles and in certain lighting situations, will display a very, very subtle greenish shade. Nothing as dark as I've seen some modeler opt for. I'd go with extreme moderation and if it doesn't work out, just leave it clear. You'll still be good to go. otis252
Dandiego
Thanks for all of the help. Didn't know the "tint" was actually the armored glass. And yes subtle is the key. Dan
