Fancherello
Looking very good so far ! I really think this is one of the best Eduard etched offer in their range. The airbrake and wheel doors are absolutely superb ! crobinsonh

The airbrake and wheel doors are absolutely superb ! I agree. The Eduard sets are very extensive and there is a lot of them. Luckily I bought all of these many years ago when they where cheaper and the £ was much stronger :-) Harold
crobinsonh
Fuselage construction has started and I can actually get a glimpse of how the F-100D looks. [/url] I think the MR Surfacer worked well in reducing the "divots" to a semblance of rivets. Gazzas
Glad you're preparing me for the future... Nice work on the fixes! Gaz crobinsonh
Marcel111
Huge amount of work here! Cockpit looks really fantastic, love how you used a combo of AM stuff to get the best possible result. Slat upgrades are also very convincing. Cheers, Marcel crobinsonh and Harold
Harold
I seem to remember this kit has the drag chute cabling slots on both sides of the fuselage, it should be only on the port side, it's a very easy fix though. sandokan, MikeMaben, crobinsonh and 2 others
Thud_Ally
Have this kit in the stash with a ton of AM for it. So watching with interest. Great work so far. Harold and crobinsonh

Hi Harold, They actually have this correct and it is only on the port side - either that or I was over zealous with my sanding and I just corrected a mistake by accident :-) F`s are my favs and Harold
themongoose
I'm loving this tutorial. You're doing some great work. I'll come back to this for sure when i start mine.
crobinsonh
One shot I forgot from last week showing an assembly of the wings and bits before much of the filling. I can see a "Hun" starting to take shape. mark31, sandokan, scvrobeson and 3 others
crobinsonh
Some more progress. Lots of sanding now completed and I have added the Eduard Airframe PE set. I have to say this is a pretty comprehensive set. A little worried that it may appear a little "thick" after the primer coat. Next steps are to actually fit the wings and tailplanes as I move closer to the first primer coat. I am actually really excited to get this one into the paint shop as a worn ANG bird at the end of its life. Gazzas
Really enjoying this build. Those PE panels will add some crisp detail. Gaz crobinsonh

crobinsonh
A few more updates. Fitted the wings and tailplanes. Wings fitted ok but needed plastic shims before filler as the gaps where reasonably big. sandokan, LSP_Kevin and MikeMaben
