Gigant
Because of vision issues, I had to "button it up" for a while, but soon I will do the rigging as the "finishing touch". I figure on rigging it when I do the Laird's Super Solution racer. Gigant
Thank You. It was my first major project using Testors water-based acrylics. Before that, I used enamels or lacquers only, especially for the gloss silver and yellow. Normally I would have air-brushed the silver, but with Testors acrylics, I was able to hand-bristle brush. The fuselage is flat light gull gray, the yellow wing uppers are acrylic flats, finished with Testors clear-coat, finishing it entirely by hand-bristle brushing. The entire plane is brush-finished with Testors gloss clear-coat, which also seals the decals. While you're at it feel free to check-out my recently posted Wildcat build: http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=70552&hl=. ericg
Nice work Tom. I have built that kit and it is one of my favourites of my collection. Eric. Gigant
Gigant
Thank you. For a biplane, it is very nice-no upper-wing-alignment issues! In my case, I decided to build-up the machine-gun receivers since, as you know, their width is not correct. In my stash I have seven Lindberg Curtiss Goshawk's-I need to build-up one.
