Which Trumpy kit would be the best one to purchase to do this conversion with?  Last thing I want to do is get the wrong one.

Thanks

Jerry

Hey guys,

Does anyone know the answer to this question? I too will have to pick up a Trumpeter kit and do not want to get the wrong one either.

I am thinking that the AD-4 would be the logical choice but then my logic has proven wrong before.

In an off line communication Paul gave me the following information which I think will answer all the questions. "As for the Spad, if you plan an air force ship get their USAF kit since it has some of the armor already in place, for the earlier Navy ships you'd want their A-D in blue, without the armor."  Hope this helps those like me that weren't sure which one to buy - hope to find a good deal on the blue one at the Nats this year.

Paul

Is there any chance of getting a couple new photos - hopefully will be picking up a couple of A-1s at Nats on Wednesday to use for conversions.

Does anyone have any links to anywhere with diagrams as to exactly what armor was fitted to the two seaters?

Been looking and can only find arnor fitted to single seaters.

Plenty of photos with what looks like it but no diagrams particularly if any waa fitted to thectwo seater sidewalls or was it belly only which is different from the single seater.
