TonyT
Do you mean a redo? It's been done for years And even that has been redone, if you buy the Revell BGS version it includes the original shown with updated parts such as better seats, loadpole etc, and PolyV intakes as used on the later RAF Puma force, Though not the decals.. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/120879-revell-04412-sa-330-puma-bgs as you can see both versions of doors, sponsons, intakes, different seats etc http://www.scalemodellingnow.com/hn-aircraft-revell-eurocoptersa330j Edited May 3, 2017 by TonyT

TonyT
From our very own Derek From what I remember Michael, the old Matchbox (now Revell I guess) SA 330 Puma was a good kit - accurate in shape and size if a little sparse on detail as already related. Back in the mid-80's, I used to be part of the Royal Air Force Exhibition Production Flight (EPF) based at RAF Henlow. One of my tasks there (as a full time model maker) was to produce Puma display models for the RAF Careers Information Offices (CIO's). For this purpose, we used the 1/32 Matchbox Puma kit, but left out all of the internal detail and any external bits that might get knocked off - I remember having a production line of 33 of them in the spray booth, all hand sprayed in Humbrol authentic enamels!I have seen some very stunning award winning models made from this kit, so go for it (I will get one again one day).D. Dave Williams
I wish they would release some RAF stuff for the Puma. All the recent Revell releases have been for the German version.
Magic Mike
No fair using Ted Taylor's build as an example of how good the kit is. The kit could have sucked and he would have made it look good. He was the King. Met him at the US Nats one year. Really nice guy. MM
TonyT
He did an excellent job, but he would have struggled with that, he has the ladder on the wrong side, the lock for the sliding fairing is on the other side so you wouldn't be able to open the cowls from there....
