Then maybe add a couple of P-47s at one end and a silver Thud at the other. The Republic Thunder Factory Story all in one. jgrease Posted August 13, 2019 Share Posted August 13, 2019 As an observer to this from the outside, Kitty Hawk have had some very able assistance on recent projects like the UH-1 series and the MH/SH-60 series. Most recently the UH-1N kit was released with the incorrect rotors in spite of the information provided by the very informed advisors, and there were obvious missing parts in the MH-60 kit (the stub wings featured on the box cover!). For almost every error in those helo kits that were pointed out online, the response from the advisor was "well, we told them about it", and KH still put out kits with needless errors. Out2gtcha Posted August 13, 2019 Share Posted August 13, 2019 I do agree on some very needless errors committed sometimes , and if they were advised on some/ a lot of them, I really have no explanation for that. I guess my only thought on the end result of a 1/32nd Thunder Flash/Streak, is whatever we get, and with whatever errors it may or may not have, it will be leaps and bounds better than the previous IM 1/32nd Thunder Flash/Streaks. The Mirages will be the next in line and the chopper series (Blackhawk, little bird, Huey, etc). Given that KH asked the group to come alive again, we shall gather additional information to try to make sure the kits will be the best to date by KH. Glen is a huge fan of the Streak / Flash (and so are we in the group) so he wants to get it right. The Flash is first, the Streak follows thereafter. I myself shall go with a small group to the Brussels museum to make additional walk-arounds for the project, so stay tuned...and criticism is fine as long as it is constructive. Tim Thanks for enlightening the crew here. Yes, Bruce and I spent many hours and days researching, measuring and fondling of the shiny one we have here in Oregon. Bruce has a HUGE folder of photos he did himself, along with my own collection I took over many years while traveling to different west coast museums. It is a massive amount of references. Now add all the work you two have put into the mix, it should be one of the most accurate pieces of plastic EVER produced....HOWEVER, we know how it works once it goes to the manufacturers.
