Canada's Most Decorated Soldier: William Barker and His Snipe

Recommended Posts

Thanks Tom;  It was a very nice kit and I would have built more but arthritis in the hands and loss of vision makes for an impossible situation but I'll keep trying to lurk here.

Regards

Barney

Nicely done.....actually prefer the look of the Snipe over the Camel.

You've done a wonderful tribute to Barker and his aircraft with this build Tom. :clap2:  :clap2:  :clap2:  :clap2:

William, thank you! It was the old Revell Camel kit which drew me to building Barker's aircraft, but I'm like you in appreciating the look of the Snipe over the Camel.

Tom

Aces on the Snipe - one terrific build

Keep 'em coming

Peter

Peter, you are very kind! I certainly had fun with the build: it was my first return to WWI aircraft in several years.

Cheers, Tom

Wow, I just kept staring at the "woodwork" in the cockpit! So convincing, and very much like the remains of this exact aircraft at the War Museum in Ottawa. Spectacular build, and a nice tribute to a real hero.
