Mark,

The big Merlins are looking better and better. It's really hard to believe that there are still some 40 more parts to go before each one is complete.

Joel

yes indeed i cant belief it myself that there are 40 parts to go

man, those engines are really something , amazing

ok here we goon how i have done the wood

First i have painted the part with tamiya XF57 buff and put a clear coat over it before whe start

What whe need

oil paint burn umber

kitchen paper

spong and somthing to put the paint on.

Now whe put some paint on the spong

5002_zpsilk0ztvd.jpg

whe put it on the part that whe whant to paint fully covering the part

5004_zpser0ycjxf.jpg

now whe clean the sponge  on the paper and go back over the part untill whe get the effect whe whant.

iff you are not happy with the result you can whip it off with the paper and start over again.

rememberoil paints dry slowly so about 24 hours the are dry

i hope you have sommthing on this
