thierry laurent
A true hot rod! Is it only me but, from that angle, without spinners and with swastikas, she would look like a Me262 relative...? scimitarf1
The Whirlwind just missed the Battle of Britain - I always wonder how they would have done. The concentration of fire would have been awesome. It would also have been faster than any other fighter
Alburymodeler
Looks like we might get a few boxings, the clean "Cannon Fighter" and then a bomber version. All is good. LSP_K2
scvrobeson
Going off of their 1/72 kit, there'll be a few boxings of this. Especially since the box-art for this one is exactly the same as the 1/72 kit. Matt

fastterry
Also like the Typhoon & Tempest they were best at low level and were probably unable to fight effectively at 25-30,000ft like the Hurricane & Spitfire. TRF LSP_K2

Dowding deliberately chose not to use the Whirlwinds as it was too risky, not least because of the type's engine problems.
scimitarf1
Thank you for that - it makes sense given that the Spits and Hurris were doing very nicely. Worth pointing out that the bombers came over in the BoB in the low teens altitude wise so this would not have been an issue.

adameliclem
Well, that's a fine-looking test shot, isn't it? Surface details look really subtle and fine, the sprue gates impressively small and I have an impression that the trailing edges are quite sharp. Thanks, Jan.
