LSP_K2
I've finally settled on the base green I intend to use (Tamiya XF-11), as it seems the best match for what pleases my eye, so I've now painted (again) the engine/exhaust area. The photo doesn't really do the color justice, but it looks great to me. Shawn M, LSP_Kevin and Out2gtcha

Shawn M
man I spent days researching what color the engine was supposed to be and you're right, once the spinner is in place you dont see much at all. LSP_K2

Yep, I looked into that early on (to decide what, if anything, I wanted to do to the nacelle interior), and decided just not to bother. LSP_K2
at least they got the prop bosses and weights correct I went this way for the engine colors: Yep, all things considered, there's far more that's right about the Hasegawa George, than anything that might be wrong. It's an excellent, excellent kit. My colors ended up similarish, as per the great photos in the Aero Detail book, though many of the engine colors in that book (museum aircraft), are highly suspect, from what I can gather. Gazzas
I've always loved the shape of the cowling of this a/c. LSP_K2

LSP_K2
yeah I used the same book (remember you loaned it to me ) and online ref's all said the same thing I do recall that, Shawn, yes. All things considered, it's really an excellent reference on the George though, I think. Excellent visiting with you yesterday, my friend, very enjoyable, and your new drums look really nice. LSP_K2
Cowl flaps each had three ejector pin marks, so I've eliminated those now, though I see in the photo that I somehow missed part of one. It's highly unlikely that these would show anyway, but I'm just not willing to take the chance.
LSP_K2
Flaps are now well along in the cleanup process. I'll be adding these very late in the game. sandokan
LSP_K2
Sanding, sanding and yet more sanding, but I now have all eight (two per quadrant) of the cowl pin marks fairly well addressed. sandokan and coogrfan
LSP_K2
Each main gear door (inner), has two very small pin marks that will need to be dealt with. I'm considering some .005 plastic cut to fit these recesses. MikeMaben, NukerDan and LSP_Kevin
