MikeMaben
The yellow nose yes, that's the question. I'm not an expert on german planes, but I do not think Me 109's of all the jagdgeschwaders in north africa had a yellow nose, only the ones of Jagdgeschwader 27? Re yellow chin cowls, some did, most didn't. Most that did were Jg27. kkarlsen
kkarlsen
Thanks. So I've decided to display the model with the engine cowling removed, this requires some detailing of the engine and scratch build of the armament and detailing the MG 17's... kkarlsen
Update on the Bf 109G-2 build, almost done... Masked and painted the large german Insignia's + decalling with HGW stencil decals. Panellines done with MIG Ammo Afrika Korps Enamel Wash. Filters applied using a heavely thinned Mig Ammo Natural Effects North Africa Dust and some AK Interactive Afica Korps Filter... For the exhaust stains I used brown and black heavily thinned and adding some fresh engine oil stains... I like the way the Rivets are beeing half-visible, not too much and not too little... Shaka HI
Even in this scale, I think the rivets should be barely visible. Excellent progress! kkarlsen
