Aircav1980
Anyone know if there is a specific color red that is used in the Navy F-4 speed brake inside?
VIPER0177
Insignia red has always been what I use.
Aircav1980
I know it has been a while since I updated this thread. Some personal stuff came up and my modeling bench got put into storage for a while. I am back at it now. The cockpit is mostly done and I think it turned out very well. Hope you all enjoy. Aircav1980
Indeed, this will be good! Just as Bill mentioned though, the Tamiya burner cans really do need to be replaced. They are quite a bit too small. Does anyone know who makes a set of replacement burner cans for this kit? I cannot seem to find any.
Squizzy 78
That cockpit looks fantastic, I think that it's hard to beat the Aires kits for detail. I know Aires makes exhaust cans, I have a set, and they do suffer from the Aires under size affect. GT resin makes sets for all models of phantoms, and their sold through sprue brothers, and I think rhino models makes a set which are only sold via ebay bay. Squizzy 78
Eduard brassin also makes a set that look very detailed.
Aircav1980
Im sorry I am a bit of a jet newbie. Would the Eduard Brassin late USN set 632011 be the right set for this kit? I am also looking at the Aires 2009 set but the Eduard looks a little nicer.
