started to sand down the other fuse half and am near completion of the tail planes.

I decided to cut the elevators free as well since i'd already cut the rudder lose I figured why not, plus it allows for some visual trickery to address some thickness issues of the stab vs. the fuse fillet.

Hours of scribing will do that. The prep work on these old kits before you can actually start building can be tedious when you just want to start seeing results. Trust me, what you've done so far is amazing...once you get past the, "What the hell have I done?!" point. :) Keep going, you're doing great things with this old kit.

sat down to scribe a bit more last night....

I get the feeling I've totally lost my model mojo at the moment :(

 

Rescribing does that to you...if I have that much rescribing to do I take a break by working on subassemblies like landing gear, cockpit, something that shows progress and keeps the enthusiasm up.
