109
Hi, last weekend I was busy at our black powder festival and shooting competition; I spent 3 days at the barbeque.... I smelled like a steak, too. :-) Back to Dora, next part, netxt challenge. The part is the upper segment of frame 6 connecting the left and right fuselage shells via the luggage compartment roof. It has some nicely formed parts ... First, I made a jig from 1 mm alu and made some tests: I anneald the lower end of the part to make it soft for the forming and shaping. Detail shots of the frame 6 segment. All parts are dry fitted, some details still missing: That´s it for today. More to come! Joel_W
Your metal working is on a level that I've rarely seen in all my years in modeling. Simply incredible. Joel 109
109
Good evening, I am making the left sidewall at the moment. First I made a template from sheet styrene and once that fitted nicely I cut the shell from litho. Next I bent it using my 3d-template of the cockpit section and tried to get a close fit. So no tensions and force will be needed to make it fit the fuselage. Some glue stains hinder a better fit. I have to remove them with a razor blade. Inner view with frame 6 top segment and luggage compartment roof panel. Throw your stuff in! Bye! fightersweep
Oh gosh! I just said over on Peter's thread that his Spit XIV was my favourite build of all time! Your 190 easily qualifies for a joint 1st place. Breathtaking workmanship! I now have two all time favourite builds! Best regards; Steve

109
Hi, I marked all important lines e.g. frames, cut outs, rivets. I used my cockpit section jig to good advantage: I cut out the hand and foot step and the filler point. Dry fitting of the panel looks OK to me: Next: embossing the rivets :-) Bye for now. 109
Hi, I embossed the rivet detail and formed the panel. Pictures show some dry fitting.
