I am ready to start this.

This will be my first P-47 in 1/32 scale after several Thunderbolts in 1/48

The story starting from the cockpit as usual.

Decided to use Aires set to modify Hasegawa s cockpit.

Resin parts cleaned and now ready for painting.

Wonderful kit: I just finished one last month. However, there is a problem with the fit of the cowling/engine assembly to the fuselage.

 

Fortunately, there are pretty easy fixes on LSP and elsewhere. I'd post a link to the one I used here, but I'm a newbie and I'm not sure linking to "that other Large Scale blog" is appreciated.

Yes Adam, I heard this problem on the nose section. Hope I can solve it by a light surgery.

No

this will be finished as natural metal D30 with the markings of FT-L 44-20473 flown by Glenn T.Eaglestone from 353 rd FS in France.

But Francis Gabreski D25 will be my next 1/32 P-47 project in the near future.

This is a build i will follow closely. I have the Trumpeter kit, but i will find it very intresting to see how the Hasegawa kit willcome along.
