Azgaron
Not sure I can make it, but I'll try to do one more. This time it's this one. I bought a few 1/24 kits from a friend, and he was kind enough to send this one as a bonus (sort of). It's the leftovers from the "usual" Trumpeter/Revell kitbash. Could be a bit fun to see if I can get it together! Missing are the "Stars" for the wings and fuselage. Have to sort that somehow. BradG
OK sounds good, not sure what the conversion is people do with the old Revell kit and the new Trumpeter one.

Azgaron
OK sounds good, not sure what the conversion is people do with the old Revell kit and the new Trumpeter one. Afaik, what people do is using the landing gear and propeller from the Revell kit as they are said to be better than Trumpeters. Anyway it's the leftovers from such a swap I have. I also got a IP etch set, which I might use. HÃ¥kan BradG
mozart
A fascinating aeroplane, I've never made a model of one but I'll be interested to see what you do with it after you lovely Lysander Hakan. Max
Azgaron
Thanks Max! I hope I at least can make it look like a P-38! Not decided if I'll do OD or metall. HÃ¥kan mikeblack and Shaka HI
Shaka HI
I think you can readily find some scheme that has both!?!?
Azgaron
Yeah, I've seen those with partial OD nose/upper fuselage, and metal. Could be an option. Just have to get the decals. HÃ¥kan mikeblack
Azgaron
Not much done yet, but I'm still contemplating on how to implement the Trumpeter parts that also was sent to me with the kit. I think it'll take a lot of work, and major surgery, so I think I'll stick with using the seat and IP, and maybe the wheels and rockets. I pulled out the scribing tool and scratched the mid fuselage parts some. After looking at the other parts, I realised, that it'll be quite a task doing the entire plane! Well, I've started, so i might as well try to do it all. HÃ¥kan dmthamade, BradG, MikeC and 4 others
LSP_Kevin
Having to rescribe is the main thing that's kept my example of this kit in the stash, and off my workbench! Kev Azgaron
Shaka HI
I practiced scribing on an old Monogram 1/48 Black Widow for about a couple hours...then it went back in the box cause, you know I don't do 1/48 no more..good luck!
