For your interest:

We pondered some time ago the question if there were used B-25s in Biafra.

Yepp, they did. Got 2 B-25J from Miami. One had a solid nose, the second one a glass nose. Camouflage was the same as for the Invaders: Green and brown over light undersurfaces. The Mitchells didn't last long, only a few weeks before beeing written off. One by a landing accident after bombing together with an Invader a government airfield were Mig-17s were assembled (the Invader crashed too), the other one had technical problems and got strafed by gouvernmental aircraft too. The Biafrans were not able to put it back into service.

There is an Hikoki book from 1999 about the Biafra Air War. 2 poor photos of the Mitchells and a copy of the subpoena against the US company who sold the Mitchells abroad. Will share the images if I am able to get a copy.

...

Latest news:

Glued the prop on. Looks a bit misaligned. Will check this. Still missing the position lights, the antenna wires and the brake lines. Also want to touch up the greenhouse in some spots and add some more dust and soot at the wingroots.

Looks doable.
