Rick K
GNU 12's decals, lots of them...9 each. Hooray! Final varnish to seal decals then on to panel line wash. LSP_Kevin, Troy Molitor, Uncarina and 1 other
red Dog
Very nice progress. It is very inspiring (almost bought the 1/32 from that brasilian company a while back) I have a preference for the hellfire loadout if you don't mind my opinion. It gives it a meaner look Rick K

Rick K
LANTIRN Pod (Eduard 648548) completed. Painted overall Gunze 305 Dark Grey (FS36118) I'm digging this color and considering this color for overall on aircraft in lieu of my original plan of 3 color camo. I cut a piece of HUD film to place over the laser seeker lens. The silver base mask not the cleanest so I'll try a panel line wash around the lens. Further, I placed the HUD film wrong side up so the effect is "less". Then, I carefully spread Acrylic UV glue and gave it a shot of UV light to cure. Not the effect I was hoping for due to incorrect placement of the HUD film. Meh, FICE! Rick K
GBU12's in the home sretch. A varnish of Tamiya FX86 flat clear 1:1 with MLT seals the panel wash. Now to give the laser seeker head some love. Using my DSPIAE cutter I cut 2mm dia circles of HUD film. Secured with HUD film Future. I know you're wondering...HUD film placed correct side up. To create the lens I carefully placed a dot of thick UV Acrylic glue on the tip of laser seeker. Then cured with a shot of UV light. Color me happy. A little dusting with Olive Drab pigment on the bomb casing to come. The end is near on these guys. Rick K
More bombs? While body work cures I decided to play with explodey things. Eduard 648168 Mk.20 Rockeye II. Bonus is I'm getting a nice set of 1:48 ordnance complete (with mounting magnets) and will certainly put these to use when I break out my A7E Corsair. Think HAF livery with massive load out. I’ll just have to build the Mk.81’s Only 1 piece of pe each. It's a beautiful thing. Over a dozen decals each, horray! I fiddled around with those yellow stripe decals enough on these. Moving forward will mask and paint, like I did on the AGM's. Less time and less aggravation. After a varnish some panel line wash is applied to bring out some detail. Tamiya FX86 Flat Clear with MLT 1:1 seals the panel line wash. Edited November 10, 2021 by Rick K
Rick K
US Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) received an A29 this summer in Heritage livery. WWII CBI scheme. Interesting look. Still a meh for me on the scheme excite ‘o meter. Looks better on 51's. Out2gtcha
Rick K
Ordnance, fuel tanks and FLIR complete! This represents more time than I spent on the A29 kit to date. Each has mini magnets for easy load out configuration. Over 80 decals and over 50 pe parts. I lost count how many colorful metaphors and "WTFFF-are you kidding me!" moments. Left to center: AGM 114 Hellfire misssles x2 Mk.20 Rockeye II GBU 12 External fuel tank LANTIRN - Low Altitude Navigation Targeting Infrared Night Only 2 hard points each wing and center hard point. Really anxious to see if the HUD Film shows up when model is on the table. Out2gtcha
The build and especially the weapons look great! I love the UV gel for things like this, really handy. Well done!
