So i decided to build some armor I will go for the Belgium Leopard 1A5 we put them out of service in 2015 I will never forget the ride i have back in 1995. So here we go. I hope at the end it will look like this. The kit im going to use is the meng kit. The aftermarket en conversion kit to make it a Belgium 1A5BE Still underway are the tracks. Barry Posted April 20, 2016 Share Posted April 20, 2016 Hi Mark, Good choice, I really like the Leopard 1A in it's different versions. The 2A is a sleeker looking machine but the 1A just has "class" and IMO is meaner looking! I have the Tamiya 1/16 Leopard 1A4 and plan to build a Danish 1A5DK1. While living in Germany in the mid 70s I remember being awoken on several different occasions by German Leopards or USA M-60s rumbling by. mark31 Posted April 24, 2016 Author Share Posted April 24, 2016 Not much done at the moment Instald the new hydrolic dampers sothe are correcet like Belgium used. A few parts on the top hull in place. Now some filling and sanding ahead. In Belgium we dont have the tools on the side of the hull so al the holes are going to be fild and sanded before the tool boxes go one.
