Looks awesome Z. Don't worry about any small doubt. Keep up the great effort. This build looks awesome!

I believe the first aircraft has another RLM 04 forward cowl piece painted in yellow and a RLM 76 lower detachable engine cowling behind it. The second aircraft has a well used, RLM Gelb 04 cowling covered in oil and grime. I'm also thinking these particular training aircraft were built up to G-12 stays using Bf-109 airframes available and they used whatever was available to modify them into G-12's. New aviators tend to "prang" these airframe in the learning process. Ninety percent of all a/c crashes are due in part to pilot error. In flight school, I recall there UH-1H's being damaged in 50 weeks of training at Fort Rucker on the Huey's During my training in the late 80's.

Keep going and I'm enjoying your build. Love the painted numbers too.

After finishing 2 WW1 aircraft, i had to get back to this one (it was difficult as i was not really motivated, i dont know why...).

I applied a gloss coat (boring), a few stencils (boring), some UMP and Flory washes to highlight the panel lines (boring) and then a matt coat (boring). Now i think it will be more interesting as i will start to really wheater it. Hopefully it will be done in the week.

A few pictures with the canopies unmasked.

Thank you guys !

How can that be boring. Very nice!

Cees

Yes the stenciling and clear coats was boring to do. :)

But i'm regaining my mojo as this build is progressing, and as it's going closer to the finish. The weathering was more interesting for me. I applied a few dots of AK rain streaks and winter grime, and some Mig blue and brown filters, then blend and clean all this mess with a large flat brush until i was satisfied with the result. I then add some dust pigments on the rear fuselage and seal it all with another coat of matt clear coat.

I made the smoke stains first with very thinned Gunze chocolate, and then with flat black. I made a frew scratches on the smoke, and then re-applied a bit of black smoke pigments over it.

I also add a few fuel leaks around the fuel cap on the fuselage. I still have to add a few oil leaks under the engine cowling.
