sax003
Hello, everyone! This is a Revell 1/48 F-15E with 391st FS, Bold Tiger markings. A friend of mine, who I worked hydraulics with in Mountain Home, got orders, and deserved a going-away plaque. I built this model to be mounted on it. The reason the left main landing gear is still stowed, is because while he was TDY to Korea, one of the jets broke and landed in that configuration. That jet kept him there for an extra month, even though he couldn't really be of any help to it. It was one of his most memorable things about Mountain Home, and wanted me to capture it for him on this model. It took me about a week and a half to complete. Thanks for looking! I added black flocking to mimic the sheep-skin seat pads in the E-model.
