Shawn M
really strange thing I noticed last night, the left and right fuse halves have very different recessed line depths from one another!

Shawn M
Spent a good deal of time at the bench, nothing exciting to see but time consuming (and scary) work has been done. The forward cockpit opening was wrong under the windscreen, there should be no over hang. Much better! Due to the massive size of the fuselage, the George had a skylight in the turtle deck to provide light for maintenance, Had to open it up. While I was making holes in the fuse, I opened up the accessory bay vents: Then, after shaping both the fill blocks for the canopy trenches, I mean rails..... I had to scribe in the guide slot. and done Last thing to do was to narrow the sills, before (top), after (bottom) Edited March 7, 2016 by Shawn M sandokan and mpk
Shawn M
Thank god the plastic in this kit is as thick as it is! Leaves a lot of room to re-shape and still have strength. Its actually quite good, reacts well to liquid cement, has some flex but is firm and strong. mpk
Shawn M
oh oh forgot to mention, I figured out how to stuff the cockpit in after the fuse is closed!
